‘Glad Midsommar’
This is the time when Sweden celebrate ‘Midsommar’, the biggest celebration of the year, the celebration of light.
As a kid it is a lot of fun with tons of outdoor games such as running with a potato on a spoon and jumping in a potato sack in a relay (yes the potato is very important in Sweden). In New York there is a big a big Midsummer feast at The Robert Wagner Park in Battery Park from 4PM to sunset.
