Applied Arts Award Winner
Just found out that my ‘Raging Mother‘ series won in the Unpublished/Personal category in Applied Arts 2020 Awards.
Creative Quarterly top 100- 2019
Two of my images were selected for the book and exhibition by Creative Quarterly (CQ) top 100 in 2019, actually they were top 25 in the Fine Art category.

Happy “Alla Hjärtans Dag” – All Hearts Day
A Baby Tree is born in my window today which I think is appropriate for a Valentine’s Day. In Sweden we call this day “Alla Hjärtans Dag” which mean “All the Hearts Day”.
‘Glad Midsommar’
This is the time when Sweden celebrate ‘Midsommar’, the biggest celebration of the year, the celebration of light.
As a kid it is a lot of fun with tons of outdoor games such as running with a potato on a spoon and jumping in a potato sack in a relay (yes the potato is very important in Sweden). In New York there is a big a big Midsummer feast at The Robert Wagner Park in Battery Park from 4PM to sunset.
Trip to Dixon in New Mexico
I spent a week in the art community of Dixon (about an hour from Santa Fe) visiting a friend, artist Marie Coburn. It is my second visit here and I am still amazed by the nature of New Mexico: the dessert, clouds, cactuses, the artists etc.. I am now thinking about going back there this fall and film a documentary about the artists as well as doing one about the distribution of water…. more to come. Here a few picks.
Seen at ‘Space’ Gallery show at Vestry Gallery
It was a great turn out last Friday at Vestry Gallery for the ‘Space’ print show. About 250 people came through the gallery space throughout the evening. To see the images displayed on the wall please click here.
Off to Sweden and my Museum exhibit.
